Our Transportation Museum Visit!

What fun! We decided to head to the museum for Cadens 2nd birthday June 13th. Hot, hot, hot. But we made it. It was just about a 1 hour drive to get there and both boys fell asleep on the ride which was a plus. This way they would be in a great mood to start our day. Our first stop was inside one part of the museum where they have different exhibits of planes and fire trucks. Caden was in love with the fire trucks. It was pretty much impossible to get him to leave. We had to wait it you could hear the train outside for him to get up and rush the exit! Once we made it outside Caden was so excited to see a train right in front of him with an engineer waving "Hi" Again moving on to the next thing was hard so a lot of coaching was involved. We then went to a building that housed tons of old Cars. Models and life size cars. In the glass with the models was Christian's favorite car Bumble Bee from Transformers! Next was on to the train that you could go inside and see where the conductor sits. This was too small for me to fit and take pictures. I was lucky to make it out alive! But again Caden loved it. We then were able to see a demonstration on how the tracks used to be laid down. Then the part I think they liked the most was the Round house. Inside were tons and tons of model trains and really trains. At the model train stations you could push buttons that made different items move. There was even a place where you could ring the train bell. Both boys were able to help an engineer shovel coal into a "fire place" to help the train go! So much excitement and fun in one place! Last was a ride on the Round table where the trains go on to be put into the round house, the place where the engines sleep. Perfect timing cause I think mommy needed a nap!
